FORREST FORRESTER to polska wiolonczelistka i kompozytorka, obecnie mieszkająca w Reykjavíku. W swoich solowych występach bada niezwykłe barwy wiolonczeli, łącząc wokale i gitarę basową z loopowaniem na żywo,tworząc mroczne, immersyjne pejzaże dźwiękowe. Jej muzyka łączy elementy neoklasyczne i eksperymentalne z ciężkimi, hipnotycznymi tonami, które artystka określa jako hipnagogiczne — przywołujące stan pomiędzy jawą a snem, gdy myśli i obrazy zacierają się i przekształcają w ulotne, oniryczne formy. Wydarzenie jest darmowe i nie wymaga zapisów.

FORREST FORRESTER er pólskur sellóleikari og tónskáld sem sem hefur aðsetur í Reykjavík. Í einleik sínum kannar hún óvenjulega hljóma og tónblæ sellósins, þar sem hún fléttar saman söng, bassagítar og lifandi lúppum til að skapa dimman og djúpan hljóðheim. Tónlist hennar sameinar nýklassíska og tilraunakennda strauma með þungum, dáleiðandi undirtónum. Sjálf lýsir hún verkinu sem hugarástandi á mörkum vöku og svefns — þar sem hugsanir og ímyndir leysast upp og umbreytast í óljós og draumkennd form.

FORREST FORRESTER is a Polish cellist and composer currently based in Reykjavík. In her solo performances, she explores the cello’s unusual timbres, layering vocals and bass guitar with live looping to create dark, immersive soundscapes. Her music blends neoclassical and experimental elements with heavy, hypnotic undertones, which she describes as hypnagogic — evoking the state between wakefulness and sleep, where thoughts and images blur and transform into elusive, dreamlike forms. The event is free and you don't need to book anything.
