Who was Tate, you ask? He wasnât just a fiberglass fixture perched outside Fish Campâhe was a real, glorious man. Plumber. Handyman. Golfer. Drinker. Poet of profanity. He helped build the bar at the Caragiulo's first restaurant, Caragiulo's Italian-American Restaurant, back in the day and was a drinking buddy of our own Mike Yoder (Caragiulos O.G., now slinginâ drinks at Veronica) and good friend of our very own Chef, Randal Roulette. Yes, really. Sarasotaâs weird like that.
Mike and Randal will be judging, and rest assuredâthey know Tate better than anyone still legally allowed in this town.
