--Event Description--
Step away from the rush of daily life and reconnect with nature through the calming practice of Ikebana—the Japanese art of flower arrangement.
In this beginner-friendly workshop hosted by Wide Island Ikebana Studio, you’ll learn to create a simple, elegant flower arrangement through this centuries-old tradition rooted in mindfulness and a deep appreciation for nature. No prior experience is needed—just a willingness to slow down and enjoy the process.
Together, we’ll:
* Explore the roots of Ikebana
* Learn foundational techniques in a step-by-step, hands-on format
* Create your own take-home arrangement using all provided material
* Discover how this practice can bring beauty, focus, and stillness into your everyday life
This is a welcoming space for beginners, creatives curious about Japanese culture or floral design, and anyone interested in cultivating moments of peace through creativity. You’ll leave with a finished arrangement, a sense of calm, and inspiration to connect with nature in your daily life.
Space is limited to just 10 participants to keep the experience personal and relaxed—reserve your spot early!
This workshop also offers guidance on how to continue your Ikebana journey—whether you’re curious about making it a regular personal practice or exploring paths toward formal study and certification. To support you beyond the session, you get to take home the basic items you need (flower frog and container) to continue your Ikebana practice at home. We’re excited to welcome you into this calming art form and hope it becomes a meaningful way for you to slow down, connect with nature, and bring intention into everyday life.
Join us to create something meaningful and beautiful, one stem at a time!
