Beach Beautification at The Bay – Sargassum Collection & Cleanup

Join Keep Sarasota County Beautiful and The Bay for a small, hands-on beach beautification event! Volunteers will help remove sargassum and seaweed from the shoreline for composting, while also picking up trash to keep our coast clean and safe for people and wildlife.

This event is a great way to give back, enjoy the outdoors, and support a more sustainable Sarasota. All supplies will be provided—just bring your energy and a willingness to get a little sandy!

Limited to 5 volunteers. Pre-registration is required.

Info: When you first arrive, please check in and network with fellow volunteers. This is a great opportunity to meet like minded individuals within your community!

Info: During the main part of the event, you'll be actively removing litter and sargassum from the cleanup site.

Info: During the final part of the event, you'll report your litter collection to your site captain. This step is crucial, especially if you're tracking service hours. Your efforts have played a key role in keeping Sarasota County beautiful—thank you for making a difference!
