This event is based on CIBD's General Certificate of Distilling and is the ultimate professional development Masterclass to improve your technical knowledge of distilling.
About this event
The Chartered Institute of Brewing and Distilling, in partnership with the Tasmanian Whisky Academy, is pleased to bring you this Distilling Masterclass event which provides a mix of components from the CIBD General Certificate in Distilling designed to build your technical knowledge, preview the General Certificate and give you insight into industry best practice.
Running over a two days in Hobart Tasmania, the event will feature technical elements including distilling technology, chemistry and equipment, expert speakers and insights on business and safety.
We'll be based at The Old Woolstore in Hobart and take trips out to distilleries and breweries.

Who's it for?
This event is ideal for distillers looking for technical professional development, interested to gain an understanding of how CIBD qualifications contribute to industry success and for those considering doing the General Certificate. It is designed for people in the industry at all levels of their technical education.
The event is organised by the Tasmanian Whisky Academy on behalf of the Institute of Brewing & Distilling and the technical tutor will be Ian Thorn, CIBD Asia-Pacific’s technical distilling trainer
The ticket price includes the course delivery, materials, and catering over the two days and drinks and nibbles at the distilleries. It will be a great event for both technical development and networking.
