$5 Friday-- Christmas in July: Make a Macrame Ornament.

To kick off our Christmas in July Sale on July 19, join us on July 12 to make macrame Christmas ornaments.

I don't know about you, but back in the 70s when everyone did macrame I thought it was something that had just been made up. But instead it is believed to date back to the 13th century. Now we use it for jewelry and all sorts of decorative items. So in keeping with our goal of making heritage crafts relevant today, we'll try a little macrame at our July $5 Friday.

$5 Fridays are casual drop in workshops where you get to try the basics of heritage crafts. No pre-registration is required. All materials are provided. Just show up at 5:30 with $5 in your pocket until there is know more room at the table.
