Dear l’ecritoire team,


my name is Mattia, and I’m reaching out to introduce a brand new contemporary jazz project: The Roots of Time.


We’re a Berlin-based quintet of five musicians from Japan, Italy, and Turkey, each with a unique musical background. The project is very recent — we’ve only had a few rehearsals so far and no gigs yet — but we’re working intensively, and we’ve recorded a first rehearsal session to give a sense of our sound.


I’m attaching a short presentation of the band, a photo, and the audio recording (studio rehearsal, not yet intended for public release).


If you think the project could fit your venue, we would love the opportunity to play our first concerts with you.

The Roots of Time blends jazz tradition with the unknown, creating evolving soundscapes that explore dark matter and cosmic mysteries. Drawing from both structure and improvisation, the quintet offers an original, vibrant musical experience, expanding in time and captivating audiences who love authentic music.
