Todmorden Family ("Quail") Trail

Join us on Bank Holiday Monday for a family-friendly trail of 2.5-miles. Enjoy easy-paced walking through picturesque woods and fields above Centre Vale Park in Todmorden. Time will be built in to explore the surroundings, observe wildlife, climb trees, play or simply relax.

Paths are well maintained, no stiles on this route, but there is some elevation (610ft / 185m) and this is one of our more challenging Quail Trails for this reason. Great for children who love to explore, and are sturdy on their feet. Well behaved dogs are welcome on this one too.

Our *Quail Trails walks are designed to be a step up from our Snail Trails (toddler walks). These family trails are a little bit longer and aimed at children aged 4-11 and their families. Although it is a child-centred event, individual adults are also welcome to join us!

*Quails are small ground-nesting bids, which inhabit grasslands, preferring areas of tall vegetation. Quails are more often heard than seen, with repeating chirps (sounds like children playing outside to me!).
