Cloud Nine Presented by Friends of CircUP

Cloud Nine is an exciting and dynamic performance that brings together adult trainers and performers from CircUP Arts, Townsville's one and only circus school. This collaborative showcase celebrates the diverse talents and hard work of local performers, highlighting incredible feats of strength, flexibility, and artistry achieved through dedication to physical training. The performers in Cloud Nine seek the euphoric feeling of being “on cloud nine” - the joy and fulfilment that come from pushing boundaries, mastering new skills, and expressing themselves through movement. Circus is their happy place, where they feel most alive, and this show embodies that sense of freedom and exhilaration. The performance features acts such as breathtaking aerial and ground acrobatics and mind-blowing manipulation, demonstrating the versatility of movement and the artistry of physical performance. Beyond showcasing talent, Cloud Nine serves as an inspiring example for young circus students, showing them the possibilities that can be achieved through commitment and passion. This performance aims to foster pride within the local community while inspiring the next generation of performers.
