Louise Baduel invited Pascale Gigon (an iconic dancer from Brussels) to return on stage after 20 years. Together, they question what it means to age for women in our society and reveal with gentleness and sisterhood all their fragility and contradictions to address our relationship to the world, to the passing of time and the anxiety of an inevitable end.
Through movement and textile materials, they create a visual and colorful universe that evokes both the strength of nature and the artificiality of our lifestyles. Can we overcome fatalism and its corollary of climate inaction and replace it with optimism and collective action?
Between fiction and reality, Pascale and Louise shake up our habits with derision and reason.

Louise Baduel
Louise Baduel is a dancer-choreographer based in Brussels. After studying music and dance at the Aix-en-Provence Conservatory, she joined Rosella Hightower’s school in Cannes, then continued her studies at P.A.R.T.S. and at the ULB where she obtained a master’s degree in Performing Arts. It is in this context that Louise created a solo entitled L.BRUISSE. In 2013, she co-founded the company System Failure with Leslie Mannès and together they set up a trilogy: SYSTEM FAILURE in 2013, HUMAN DECISION in 2015 and INITIAL ANATOMY in 2019. In 2021 she created a new solo entitled LOOP AFFECT, in 2024 with Pascale Gigonthey made a duo called SOLEIL CONSTANT and she is currently working on a new show for a young audience, CHROMATIQUE that will be presented in April 25 in Brussels. Her work is distinguished by its multidisciplinary aspect and gives rise to hybrid pieces. Louise attaches great importance to making her choreographic practice accessible to all and try to approach existential or societal themes with simplicity, humor and transparency.

H Louise Baduel προσκαλεί την Pascale Gigon (εμβληματική χορεύτρια από τις Βρυξέλλες) να επιστρέψει στη σκηνή ύστερα από 20 χρόνια απουσίας. Αναρωτιούνται τι θα πει να γερνάς για τις γυναίκες της κοινωνίας μας, αποκαλύπτουν με τρυφερότητα κι αδελφοσύνη όλη τους την ευθραυστότητα και τις αντιφάσεις, εξετάζουν τη σχέση μας με τον κόσμο, το πέρασμα του χρόνου και την αγωνία ενός αναπόφευκτου τέλους. Μέσα από την κίνηση και τις υφασμάτινες κατασκευές δημιουργούν ένα οπτικό και πολύχρωμο σύμπαν όπου αναδεικνύεται τόσο η δύναμη της φύσης όσο και το πόσο τεχνητός μπορεί να είναι ο τρόπος ζωής μας. Μπορούμε, άραγε, να ξεπεράσουμε τη μοιρολατρία και την απραξία που τη συνοδεύει και να τις αντικαταστήσουμε με αισιοδοξία και συλλογική δράση; Ανάμεσα στη μυθοπλασία και την πραγματικότητα, η Pascale και η Louise αναταράσσουν τις συνήθειές μας με λοιδορία και λογική.

Louise Baduel
Η Louise Baduel είναι χορεύτρια και χορογράφος με βάση τις Βρυξέλλες. Μετά τις σπουδές της στη μουσική και τον χορό στο Ωδείο της Εξ-αν-Προβάνς, φοίτησε τη σχολή της Rosella Hightower στις Κάννες και συνέχισε τις σπουδές της στο P.A.R.T.S. και το ULB, όπου ολοκλήρωσε το μεταπτυχιακό της στις Παραστατικές Τέχνες. Σε αυτό το πλαίσιο, η Louise δημιούργησε το σόλο L.BRUISSE. Το 2013 συνίδρυσε με τη Leslie Mannès την ομάδα System Failure και χορογράφησαν μαζί την τριλογία SYSTEM FAILURE (2013), HUMAN DECISION (2015) και INITIAL ANATOMY (2019). Το 2021, δημιούργησε το σόλο LOOP AFFECT, ενώ το 2024 συνδημιούργησε με τον Pascale Gigonthey το ντουέτο SOLEIL CONSTANT. Αυτόν τον καιρό ετοιμάζει μια καινούργια παραγωγή για νεανικό κοινό, το CHROMATIQUE που πρόκειται να παρουσιαστεί τον Απρίλιο του 2025 στις Βρυξέλλες. Η δουλειά της διακρίνεται από διεπιστημονικότητα, ενώ αναδεικνύει υβριδικές πρακτικές. Η Louise θεωρεί πολύ σημαντικό το να γίνεται το χορογραφικό της έργο προσιτό σε όλους/ες και προσπαθεί πάντα να προσεγγίζει τα υπαρξιακά ή κοινωνικά θέματα με απλότητα, χιούμορ και διαφάνεια.
