Veteran & Trauma Informed Vinyasa

Join us for a special monthly class!

This gentle Vinyasa yoga session, designed to be accessible and enriching for practitioners of all levels. Our class will begin with a series of flowing Vinyasa sequences and standing poses, intended to warm up the body and bring relief to the joints. The instructor will also implement aspects of Raja Yoga or Yogic philosophy to help the practitioners center themselves with their own personal practice. Modifications for certain poses will be offered to cater to various needs and levels of experience. As the class progresses, we will transition to the mat for a combination of Yin and restorative poses. These poses intend to foster deep relaxation and attempt to regulate the body's stress response. All instructors are trauma-conscious and have received trauma-informed training, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all participants.

This class is open to all, whether a part of the military community or seeking a trauma informed practice, and co-sponsored by the Veterans Yoga Project.
