The 14th Annual Summer Kick-Off at the Duck Blind Sandbar is happening! 🌊🌞
Before you get too excited, let's address the elephant in the room: One of the years, someone got injured, so I'm taking a leap of faith by posting this event, but I want to make sure everyone understands the risks involved and also understands I, nor anyone else attending, has any involvement.
This is solely to bring awareness of a gathering and this is NOT sponsored, hosted, advertised, or published by anyone other than the community of boaters coming on their own, who want to get together and celebrate the beginning of summer. The event takes place in public waters/waterways, and by attending, you and your guests assume all risks and responsibilities for your actions.
Remember, the Duck Blind Sandbar is a natural feature in the water, and jumping off any fixture including your boat, can be dangerous. Not to mention surrounding yourself around boats with props, motors, propulsion, etc. or the water in general carries with it risk. We strongly advise against any risky behavior, and if you choose to visit the duck blind sandbar at anytime or participate in any activities, you do so at your own risk.
In case of an emergency, please call 911 or the appropriate authorities. Attendees want everyone to have a fun and safe time, so let's all be responsible and look out for each other.
