About This Amazing Event!
Get ready for a magical, memorable event where stories come to life and creativity takes flight! We are beyond excited to welcome local author Kristen Hogan to Theory of Play for a special afternoon of reading, imagination, and hands-on fun.
Here’s what to expect when you sign up:
Author Read-Aloud
Kristen Hogan will share her charming children’s book Creepy Crawlies, a playful story that invites children into the tiny, wiggly, and wonderful world of bugs! Hearing the story read by the author herself makes this experience even more magical and memorable.
Bug-Inspired Craft Activity
After Storytime, children will create their very own Creepy Crawlies-themed craft to take home! The activity is designed to be open-ended, fun, and appropriate for a range of ages. All materials will be provided.
Meet & Greet the Author
Children will have the opportunity to ask Kristen questions, chat with her, and even get their books signed if they’d like! This is a great way to encourage a love of reading and creativity through real-life connections.
Take-Home Keepsake
Each child will leave with their personalized bug-themed craft and some new inspiration to keep exploring stories and art at home!
