ABWA Sunset Chapter May Monthly Meeting

The Mission of the American Business Women’s Association is to bring together business women of diverse occupations and to provide opportunities for them to help themselves and others grow personally and professionally through leadership, education, networking support and national recognition

The Sunset Chapter meets on the 3rd Thursday of every month in Sarasota. Our meeting is a hybrid event; you may choose to attend in person or virtually via the Zoom meeting option. Visitors are always welcome and we encourage our members to invite guests to attend as well.

This month, we will meet at the Tippecanoe Community Clubhouse, 4636 Tippecanoe Trail, Sarasota.

We will be hosting a Networking event on Thursday, May 29, at Applebee's on University and Lockwood Ridge. We have researched how to host a successful networking event and learned more about how to network successfully at an event. But first, we need to practice.

Please come out and help us run a mock networking event. We need to learn which icebreakers and conversation starters work best. Most importantly, we need to get over our awkwardness about playing host and approaching people.

The more people in attendance at the practice event, the more confident we will become!

A casual supper will be provided to keep with the networking event theme.
