FREE Grand Reopening Contra Dance & Lesson

After being flooded by Hurricane Helene, countless hours of volunteer work and over $100,000 of donations have allowed the the Polish American Society to be restored and ready to welcome back the monthly 2nd Saturday contra dance, presented by the Tampa Friends of Old Time Dance!

The contra dancing lesson starts at 7pm, and if you make on time you will get a free cup of kombucha. The official contra dancing will start at 7:30, with a special mocktail menu made of locally grown herbs and other ferments. The Polish American bar will also be open.

Contra dance is an lively old time American group dance, similar to square dancing, including a caller and live music from the Rafter Rigers Band (folk music).

You're not required to dance - you're welcome to just come watch! For dancing, no partner or experience needed!
