Microneedling is a great way to resurface your skin, effectively reducing fine lines, wrinkles, dark circles, acne scars and more. It increases laxity of the skin, improves absorption rate and is even effective in stimulating the regrowth of your hairline.
Through micro-traumas of the microneedling pen, we stimulate the body's natural immune system to produce collagen & elastin; effectively resurfacing the skin for a brighter, smoother and more youthful appearance.
This treatment is highly effective for treating wrinkles, fine lines, sun spots, scars, stretch marks, hair loss and more. It also improves absorption rate by 1000x, making your skin products and serums much more effective in treating your skin.
These treatments include (optional) application of numbing cream, body acupuncture points to ground & relax, micro-needling of the face and nano-needling for the eyes and lips. You have the option to purchase the recommended aftercare kit for $50. It includes 3 products: a calming spray, a serum with hyaluronic acid, collagen & vitamin C, plus a moisturizer infused with stem cells.
Micro-needling can only be done once per month (that's how long it takes for collagen to be produced). You may see results following the first treatment, but the full benefits will be seen after 4-6 treatments. Results can last up to 5 years.
Be aware that you may experience redness, peeled/flakey skin for a day or two following treatment. You'll be asked not to wear makeup for the rest of the day following treatment. For one week following treatment, you'll want to avoid direct sunlight to aid in recovery. We recommend you use the aftercare kit of 3 products in the days following treatment.
PRIOR TO TREATMENT:
- It is recommended not to take blood thinners prior to this treatment in the unlikely case that there is some bleeding. If you are currently taking blood thinning medications, please consult your doctor to see if you are able to skip the day prior to treatment. If it is unsafe for you to skip a day, we do not recommend micro-needling.
- We do not recommend micro-needling while taking anti-inflammatory drugs. If you are currently taking anti-inflammatory medication, ask your doctor if it is safe for you to stop taking these drugs for 3 days prior to micro-needling.
- Please do not drink alcohol for 3 days prior to treatment, or the day of your treatment.
- Please avoid taking fish oil tablets for 3 days prior to your treatment.
- We do not recommend micro-needling to women who are pregnant.
- We do not recommend micro-needling for people currently undergoing chemo-therapy or radiation. We are happy to treat you with a regular acupuncture session instead.
