On June 29 Sunday at 4:00 pm Tagore Music Group of Greater Washington DC will be presenting two drama's (one in English & the other in Bengali) back to back as follows ....
1. Tagore's The Hungry Stones based on his iconic short story Kshudhito Pashan in which Tagore delves into the occult & the other-worldly. It's a highly mysterious yet sweetly romantic story rendered poetically a-la-Tagore.
2. Monoj Mitra's comedic satire in Bengali -- Chokhay Angul Dada (The Critic) -- dealing with a worthless person who takes pride in criticizing others.
Monoj Mitra, a famous Bengali playwright , passed away November 12, 2024 and this is our humble effort at commemorating him.
