Do fun activities like:
Hike with a Park Ranger! (June 22, July 27)
Learn all about nature and wellness while stretching your legs. Look for native animals and plants that live on over 400 acres that make up Oxon Cove Park.
All About Bones (June 29, August 3)
Take a look inside at the skeletons of animals in the park. Learn about how different skeletal features make it possible for different animals to do amazing things like swallowing their food whole, biting through entire tree trunks, or chewing through tough vegetation!
Beautiful Bugs (July 6, August 10)
Learn about insects and why they're so important for our ecosystem! Get questions answered like, why do fireflies glow? Or how do paper wasps build their nests? Bring your questions and curiosity to explore the tiny world of insects.
Flying Feathered Friends (July 13, August 17)
Spend the morning with the birds! Join a Park Ranger as we look and listen for the wild birds that call Oxon Cove Park home. Use binoculars and field guides to find and identify birds, listen to their calls and learn what they might be saying, and learn how you can help support healthy and happy bird populations at home!
Embrace Your Inner Artist (July 20, August 24)
Make art outside using nature as your inspiration! Breathe the fresh air, soak in the sun, and let your creative juices flow as you're invited to express yourself through art at the park.
