Fort Foote and the 9th NY Artillery

Join us for an enlightening tour of Fort Foote, a significant Civil War era fortification located on Rozier's Bluff along the Potomac River, just downstream from Washington, DC.

Tour Highlights:

Role During the Civil War: Discover the strategic importance of Fort Foote during the war and its impact on the surrounding area.
Tour Details:
Terrain: The tour will take place over mostly flat grassy terrain, making it accessible, though good hiking shoes are recommended due to the soft soil.
Distance: Expect to cover about a mile in and around the fort.
