Waldo’s Rock Park (6303 Partners Ave, Marion, IA)
It’s time to hit the trail—Adventure Team style!
This month’s Pet Social takes us onto the Grant Wood Trail. We’ll meet at Waldo’s Rock Park and enjoy a structured training walk in a real-world setting designed to help your pet build confidence, calmness, and stamina.
✨ RSVP required by July 24th at kingscreatures.com/pet-socials
As always, space is limited so every pet and person has the space to succeed.
This is more than a hike.
It’s a chance to practice outdoor engagement, reinforce public manners, and train through moving distractions like bikes, joggers, wildlife, and other dogs—all while surrounded by beauty and fresh air.
We’re not just out for a walk. We’re modeling what prepared pets and proactive handlers look like out in the wild.
Who can attend:
Pet Socials are open to clients who have completed training, are currently enrolled, or are members of the KCAT Club. These events are exclusive to the King’s Creatures crew.
What to bring & what to expect:
A 6-foot leash (no retractables)
High-value treats for motivation
Water for you and your pet
Poop bags—always
Comfortable walking shoes and a readiness to train on the move
We’ll focus on engagement around movement, polite leash manners, neutrality around other trail users, and trail etiquette that sets your Adventure Team apart.
As always, on-leash greetings are not allowed.
We’re here to train, not mingle—and that’s exactly what keeps our outings calm and successful. I’ll have your back if you need help explaining that to anyone you meet on the trail.
Suggested donation:
$5 per handler/pet team supports Living Creatures Ministry, our nonprofit therapy animal program.
Let’s walk the walk.
This is what calm, capable, community-minded pet ownership looks like in action.
Come enjoy the trail—and let your training shine.
I’ll see you at Waldo’s Rock! 🐾
