The FFC ICRI chapter is excited have Eri Vokshi P.E., of Sika to discuss and demo Structural Strengthening with FRP composites.
Fiber Reinforced Polymers (FRP’s) have become a viable and accepted means of upgrading, strengthening, and rehabilitating structures throughout the world. Typical applications include external reinforcement, seismic upgrades, change in use, building alterations and innovative anchoring techniques.
This presentation will discuss why structures need to be strengthened, design considerations, available industry guidelines, highlight materials that can be used for structural strengthening along with their advantages and disadvantages and fire protection requirements.
In addition to the presentation a hands-on demonstration of the installation process for these products will be showcased after the presentation.
A one-hour PDH credit is available for attending this presentation.
