Workshops and displays will be held at the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens in the POD, which is near the food garden.
Workshops – Thursday, 2 October
* Morning session: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
* Afternoon session: 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Come along, have a chat, and spend some time photographing orchids. We’ll kick things off with a couple of short talks:
* Fiona Walsh will give an update on the Tasmanian Orchid Conservation Program and what’s been achieved in the past couple of years.
* Malcolm Wells will share stories about Tasmanian orchids – their history, quirks, and why they’re so special.
After that, you’ll have time to take photos of the indoor displays or head out to the Tasmanian section of the garden to see some planted orchids.

Photographic Opportunity – Friday, 3 October
* Morning session: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
* Afternoon session: 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
On Friday the orchids will be on display for photographic opportunities. Book in a time slot to come and take some photos in a calm indoor setting (no wind getting in the way!), and chat with a few orchid experts who’ll be around to answer questions and share tips.
