The Umpteenth Arctic Ale – Morris Dance Performance

You might know of the Ministry of Silly Walks, well, it’s now coming to Helsinki!

For 30 years, dancers from Helsinki and Stockholm have met up almost every summer to celebrate the old tradition of Morris Dancing – a type of English folk dance with hankies and bells that most Brits say they “love to hate”.

This year, Eken Morris from Stockholm, Sweden and the Helsinki Morrisers, will be on the streets of Helsinki on Saturday, August 30, starting near the railway station at 12.00. Precise details will be posted on Friday, August 29, on the Helsinki Morrisers’ website and on their Facebook group page.
