Safe Sitter® Class – Summer 2025
Monday, June 16, 2025, at 8:30 a.m. – 2:45 p.m.
GCMH Education Room – Entrance 3 (West Side of Building)
Is your child ready to stay home alone or begin babysitting? Help them build the skills and confidence to do it safely with our Safe Sitter® class, hosted by Grundy County Memorial Hospital.
This nationally recognized, day-long course is open to students who have completed 5th grade. It provides the knowledge and training young teens need to stay safe at home or care for younger children responsibly.
What They’ll Learn:
✔ First Aid & Rescue Skills
✔ Safety Skills
✔ Life & Business Skills
✔ Child Care Skills
The class is taught by certified instructors through the official Safe Sitter® program, developed by healthcare professionals.
Registration:
Class fee is $35.
Students should bring a sack lunch.
Please use Entrance #3 on the west side of the hospital when arriving.
