Free concert at La Perla Sports Club for Make Music Day West Valley!
Deborah “Debi” Dominguez is a Phoenix-born vocalist and percussionist whose music blends soul, rhythm, and resilience. Raised in a family of drummers, Debi grew up surrounded by the sounds of Tejano, R&B, country, and disco. At 18, a brain tumor changed her life—but recovery brought new purpose.
Singing along to Patsy Cline and Sade helped her regain speech and memory, transforming music into her lifeline. Debi launched her career in the ’90s with Mestizo Band and became the first female lead singer of Devotion Band. Today, she fronts Soul Persuasion Band, bringing powerhouse vocals and percussion to stages across Arizona. Her performances are a tribute to the mentors and music that shaped her—authentic, electric, and full of heart.
Make Music West Valley, a FREE event sponsored by The West Valley Arts Council, is designed to inspire the community to play music and showcase local musical talent. This annual celebration, part of the larger Make Music Day, occurs on June 21 and features live performances across multiple locations throughout the West Valley region from 9am - 9pm!
