Om de eerste dag van Kunst & Zwalm feestelijk af te sluiten organiseren we dit jaar een bijzondere 𝗺𝘂𝘇𝗶𝗸𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗲𝘁 𝗬𝗟Ï𝗔𝗠 𝗲𝗻 𝗛𝗲𝘁 𝗗𝗶𝗸𝗸𝗼𝗼𝗿 uit Dikkele!
Onder de naam 𝗬𝗟Ï𝗔𝗠 brengt Maïly Beyrens Xu (die/hun) een live concert dat voortkomt uit een reeks workshops die hen voerde met de leerlingen van basisschool Het Groene Lilare in Zwalm. Samen onderzochten ze hoe planten, mensen en technologie verbonden zijn via zichtbare en onzichtbare netwerken. Op basis van hun ontmoetingen maakte Maïly de installatie Unknown Network, die te zien is op de route. Op 30 augustus verweeft YLÏAM de stemmen en zelfgeschreven nummers van de kinderen in een sonisch landschap; een live interpretatie van hun gezamenlijke zoektocht.
Ook het Dikkelse dorpskoor 𝗛𝗲𝘁 𝗗𝗶𝗸𝗸𝗼𝗼𝗿 laat zich horen. Dat doen ze met eigen repertoire, maar ook met een lied dat werd geschreven door het collectief Agripuncture. Voor hun project 'Sore Spot Songs' brachten zij de pijnpunten in de Zwalmstreek in kaart samen met dorpsbewoners. Van deze ervaringen maakten ze een lied dat deze avond eenmalig vertolkt wordt door Het Dikkoor. Een première die je niet wil missen!

To end the first day of Kunst & Zwalm on a festive note, this year we are organising a special 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗬𝗟Ï𝗔𝗠 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗲𝘁 𝗗𝗶𝗸𝗸𝗼𝗼𝗿 from Dikkele!
Under the name 𝗬𝗟Ï𝗔𝗠, Maïly Beyrens Xu (they/them) is presenting a live concert that stems from a series of workshops they conducted with pupils from Het Groene Lilare primary school in Zwalm. Together, they explored how plants, humans and technology are connected through visible and invisible networks. Based on their encounters, Maïly created the installation Unknown Network, which can be visited along the route. On 30 August, YLÏAM will interweave the children's voices and self-written songs into a sonic landscape; a live interpretation of their joint quest.
The village choir from Dikkele 𝗛𝗲𝘁 𝗗𝗶𝗸𝗸𝗼𝗼𝗿 will also be performing. They will be singing their own repertoire, as well as a song written by the collective Agripuncture. For their project “Sore Spot Songs”, they mapped out the sore spots in the Zwalm region together with the villagers. They turned these experiences into a song that will be performed once this evening by Het Dikkoor. A premiere you won't want to miss!
