Companion Songs moves playfully between experimental folk, edgy pop songs, and psychedelic rock infusions. The duo shares a long-standing friendship dating back to their teenage years—their first guitar band and home recordings in the basement. Even though their musical paths diverged for a while, their friendship remained, and since 2020, the two versatile musicians have finally reunited.

With their current album “The Time We Hold”, they leave behind their instrumental beginnings and open an exciting new chapter. Between deep intimacy and energetic rock moments, they create a compelling sense of simplicity. Warm guitars and heartfelt vocals—somewhere between Luke Temple and Big Thief. Catchy songs with straight backbeats and jumpy guitar riffs reminiscent of Dirty Projectors or Sam Evian. And throughout it all, hypnotic webs and floating rhythms unfold—spaces in which you can happily lose yourself, before being drawn back in by a simple song.
