Walk 1: Llynnau Diwaunydd from Pen Y Gwryd Out and Back
Approx. 5 miles / 8 km
Difficulty: Medium - 420m elevation gain

On a sunny day, the twin lakes of Llynnau Diwaunydd take on a spellbinding, kingfisher blue. The fabulous romp offers breathtaking views of the Snowdon Horseshoe.

There are several laybys in the area to park in, but they do have a charge and do become busy if the weather is good - please car share where possible.
Wear comfy walking shoes/boots, bring a waterproof jacket and trousers (just in case!), sun cream/sunhat if warm, lunch and both a hot and cold drink. Please bring a towel and a swimming costume, an extra layer to put on after swimming, gloves/hat.
There is one swim in the middle of this walk. The swim is optional.
We provide free hire of walking poles, and a tow float, which must be worn when in the water.
No dogs or children on this walk please, over 13s are welcome if accompanied by an adult.
This walk is free for unpaid carers (people who self-define as undertaking care of a loved one with an illness or disability, no proof required), and a suggested £10 donation for non-carers. Please do book your space in order to attend, as numbers are limited to 10 spaces per walk.
