3x GRAMMY® Award Winning Bassist Ron Carter is among the most original, prolific, and influential bassists in jazz. With a career of over six decades, he has become the most recorded bassist in jazz history, recording over 2200 albums, and worked alongside so many of the jazz greats greats including Miles Davis, Lena Horne, Bill Evans, B.B. King, Dexter Gordon, Wes Montgomery, Bobby Timmons, Eric Dolphy, Cannonball Adderley, Herbie Hancock, Sonny Rollins, and Jaki Byard, as well as Roberta Flack, Billy Joel, Paul Simon, Bette Midler, Jon Batiste and Aretha Franklin to name a few. The epitome of class and elegance, Ron Carter’s incredibly inventive playing and contributions to jazz music are only some of the reasons he remains at the top today.
