We’re happy to announce that our next contra dance will be Friday, June 13, with music by The Capital District Megaband led by George Wilson along with caller Julian Blechner.
As always, our beginner’s lesson starts at 7:45pm, with the dance following from 8pm to 11pm. The dance is held at the Albany Elks Lodge, located at 25 S Allen St, Albany, NY. The ballroom is air-conditioned! Clean, soft-soled shoes are recommended to protect the dance floor. All dances are taught, and no partner is necessary!
Admission is sliding scale from $8 –$20+. Calling will use Larks and Robins to denote dance roles.
