Nature Play

Location: YDL-Whittaker (Garden)

Explore, discover, and build a love of nature at our outdoor sensory stations near the garden. We'll move inside if it's raining.

Designed for ages 2-7 and their families.

Jun. 20: Wiggly Worms: Dig for worms, examine them, and make your own with natural clay.

Jun. 27: Car Wash - Dig into muddy fun. Ramps, wheel painting, and a toy car wash.

Jul. 11: Sea Creatures - Visit fun ocean themed sensory stations and make a craft to take home.

Jul. 18: Mud Pies - Make and decorate mud pies while playing in the garden and mud kitchen.

Jul. 25: Nature Potions - Make potions with UM Matthaei Botanical Garden's Nature Play on the Way team.

Aug. 1: Water Play - Pour, measure, pump and play at our new water table, funded by the Toyota Foundation.
