Behind Closed Doors Tour

Peek into the hidden corners of Castle Tucker on a special Behind Closed Doors tour. Perched on a hilltop with sweeping views of the Sheepscot River, this distinctive mansion is filled with original furnishings and décor from the Tucker family, who lived here for more than 140 years. Whether you're a first-time guest or a returning visitor, this leisurely, in-depth tour offers new discoveries—including rooms and stories not featured on the general tour.

Accessibility Consideration: The tour involves standing and walking. The Visitor Center entrance has one threshold, while entry to the house includes three steps and a threshold. Seating is limited: most rooms and hallways have one or two benches that can seat two to three people, though three rooms have no seating. Additional chairs can be provided upon request. On overcast days, the interior of the house may be dimly lit. While some lighting is available, it is generally low, and the Main Hall and staircase are not illuminated.
