Join us for a Closing Celebration at The Edge Wilson Gallery—the final day to see this incredible show! New work will be on display, and the gallery will look a little different—so even if you came to the opening, you’ll want to come back. Artist Ben Bridgers will be in the house, sharing the stories behind his paintings, his creative journey, and what first sparked his lifelong love of art.
Ben has strong roots in Wilson, both through family and his academic path. His early love of drawing took shape while skateboarding here, where he first connected with the expressive style that still influences his work. He earned his art degree from Barton College, pursued graduate studies at the University of Georgia, and trained further in Cortona, Italy. He’s taught at several universities across the U.S., and his dedication shows in both the work itself and how he presents it.

They’ll be hosting Fatmouth, a dynamic funk/soul band known for their infectious energy. This talented and diverse group of musicians blends influences from funk, soul, jazz, and rock. Time: 8pm till late….
