Join Herbalist, Teri Lyn Powell, owner of Sage & Sweetgrass Apothecary for an Introduction to Herbs for Spring - Summer Health at Smith's Gardentown in Wichita Falls, TX!
Teri has worked with plant medicine and other natural healing modalities for over 10 years primarily from her apothecary in Quanah, Texas. She has a natural gift for sharing her passion and wisdom of plant medicine in a down-to-earth way that is easy to understand.
The class will introduce you to the amazing world of herbalism and other natural alternatives to keep you and your family well this spring and summer season.
Each participant will receive a printed handout of the class syllabus and pens will be provided for note taking.
Throughout the class, Teri will share her top favorite herbs and natural remedies to have on hand, especially this time of year and why and when to use them.
She will discuss the difference between taking herbs daily to boost immunity and which ones are the best first responders to use at the onset of illness.
Some of the topics that she will include in the class are the following:
Allergies
Upper respiratory infections
Liver health
Detoxification
Weight / Metabolism
Skin Health
Stress / Sleep
She will also talk about appropriate dosing for kids, acute dosing, the difference between herbal tea, tinctures, glycerites, and other plant remedies including using them safely, especially if you are taking prescribed medication, etc.
The evening will also include refreshments and light snacks.
There will be an apothecary pop up table featuring her top selling wellness teas, DIY Elderberry syrup kits, Texas raw honey, featured tinctures, kids glycerites, all natural soaps, bath + body goods, sage bundles, and more.
