Say Anything: Expanding the Potential of Dialogue

Dialogue is how characters tell us who they are, but it can do so much more. This generative session will explore various strategies for moving dialogue beyond simple back-and-forth exchanges into a flexible tool for adding texture, image, and tone to your stories. Students will work through a sequence of exercises based on examples provided by the instructor. All experience levels welcome.

This single-session workshop is $60. The class will take place at Stone Soup Books located at 150 Race Ave. in Waynesboro, VA.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Jason Baltazar is proudly a Salvadoran American writer and artist, originally from the Appalachian corner of Maryland. He is grateful to have been nominated for the Pushcart Prize, Best Small Fictions, and Best of the Net in multiple genres.
