Tell Me About Yourself: The Art of the Bio

Single-Evening Workshop

For some of us, writing about ourselves can be challenging. It can be difficult to find the right words that are authentic and engaging — especially with the pressure of knowing you never get a second chance to make a first impression. This single-session workshop will guide you in writing a bio that works in a printed program (such as for a reading or an exhibit) or online (such as a networking site or an “About" webpage). We will have time to write, get feedback, and revise.

This single-evening workshop is $45. The workshop will take place at Stone Soup Books (150 Race Ave in Waynesboro).

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Ady has spent her career telling stories – stories of leaders, of experts in their fields, and of those who serve others. She has published features in magazines and editorials in newspapers, as well as ghost written keynote speeches for major events. Ady has been teaching writing in higher education for over twenty years and currently teaches at Washington & Lee University.
