Everything Is Possible: Writing Speculative Fiction—Fantasy, Sci-Fi, and Horror

Five-week Workshop
Thursdays, June 12th-July 10th
6:30-8:00pm

This five-week workshop provides genre-specific tools for writing science fiction, fantasy, and horror. Through a combination of guided exercises, discussion of published stories, and workshopping, students will learn how to blend speculative elements with thoughtful storytelling to make the unreal come alive on the page. All experience levels are welcome.

The total cost for this five-week class is $145. All classes will take place at Stone Soup Books located at 150 Race Ave. in Waynesboro, VA.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Jason Baltazar is proudly a Salvadoran American writer and artist, originally from the Appalachian corner of Maryland. He is grateful to have been nominated for the Pushcart Prize, Best Small Fictions, and Best of the Net in multiple genres. He has been teaching in creative spaces for over a decade and is currently on the creative writing faculty at James Madison University.
