Parsons is a legendary figure in rock music. He helped engineer The Beatles' Abbey Road, Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon and other epic albums before forming his own band in 1975.

Between 1976 and 1984, The Alan Parsons Project scored eight Top 40 records and produced a string of eight gold and platinum albums.
