For the 2025 season WBMX will be hosting monthly Open House sessions!! These are FREE events aimed at being an introduction to our track and all that we do here at Waukegan BMX.
Open House begins at 2:30pm until roughly 4:30; but feel free to stop in earlier and check out some races! Racing start at Noon and is always free to watch.
This event is open to all ages and skill levels. No experience necessary!!
It will include a short tour of our facility, as well as information about our Beginner's League and any upcoming events or clinics.
We will then open up the track for riding! Bring your own bike and helmet or borrow ours for FREE! Any type of bike (balance bike, mountain bike, etc.) is welcome, just no E-bikes or training wheels.
**Pants, Long Sleeves and Helmet are all required when riding the track
During the open ride time, our track volunteers will be available for track tips or for any questions you may have!
This Open House will also feature a full Volunteer Training Session. With our biggest race weekend of the year, the following weekend, we will use this open house as a dress rehearsal and make sure all volunteers will know their roles at the track! Anyone who is interested in helping at the track is encouraged to attend!!
