Rails of Honor Train

Step back in time with the Bluegrass Railroad Museum as we honor the heroes of World War II in a powerful living history experience.

👨‍✈️ Reenactors in authentic WWII uniforms will bring history to life with Allied and Axis encampments, military displays, and a dramatic live skirmish during the return leg of your train ride.

🚆 Train departure times: 11:00 AM & 2:30 PM
🕥 Boarding begins 30 minutes prior – arrive early to explore the encampments and equipment displays!

🌉 Trip highlight: A stop at breathtaking Young’s High Bridge overlooking the Kentucky River Palisades.

💺 Seating options:

Open Air or First Class: Adults $23 | Children (2–12) $21

Coach: Adults $18 | Children (2–12) $16

Cab Ride: $75 (limit 2 passengers; must be able to climb on and off the locomotive unassisted)

♿ Handicap-accessible facilities and our open-window coach cars can accommodate standard wheelchairs.

🚻 Note that there are restrooms at the station but restrooms are NOT available on the train. The event will last 1-1/2 to 2 hours.
