Join Karen Habicht on the third Thursday of each month from 1:00 to 3:00 for Crochet Skill Building, where you'll learn new stitches and techniques through a different Granny Square pattern each month!
Whether you're brand new to crochet or looking to refine your skills, this beginner-friendly class will help you master the fundamentals.
You'll learn how to:
✔ Hold and use a crochet hook
✔ Work basic stitches like single and double crochet
✔ Construct granny squares
✔ Increase stitches and incorporate special techniques
✔ Work in the round and change colors
This class focuses on creating individual squares rather than completing a full project. (Karen may offer a future class on seaming and finishing techniques based on interest.)
All tools and materials are provided for in-class use, though you're welcome to bring your own hooks and yarn.
Take your growing skills and transform your squares into beautiful projects like blankets, wraps, tops, tote bags, and more!
Important Information:
Beginners are welcome.
Children age 14 and older may attend class independently.
Children under age 14 may join this class if a responsible adult also registers to attend and participate with them.
Registration allows for one Guest per class project.
Only Registered Guests may attend class.
Registrations are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.
Class starts promptly as scheduled.
At ARTworks Vass, you're always welcome to bring your own Nibbles and Sips to class.
Dress to mess or bring an apron.
