Water can be an intimidating material to draw with. In this course, we will explore a variety of watercolor media and basic strategies for drawing with watercolor. Our experimentation will focus on the development contrast through the use of tonal value along with color mixing. Some drawing or painting experience is encouraged, however, all skill levels are welcome.

About the Instructor: Every creative inquiry begins with a drawing. As a student in the 1980's, Troy studied figure drawing and sculpture at U.C. Davis. Over the last 30 years, Troy’s career has focused on the creation of architecturally integrated public art, completing commission projects through a variety of municipalities across the US.

Max students: 12

Ages 12 and above. All youth under the age of 16 must be chaperoned by an adult.
