It’s the bit between Christmas and New Year. Charlie, a one-time successful marketing executive is falling apart. Grief, addiction, debt and being stuck in the rat race has pushed him to the edge – so he decides to disappear.
He pays a visit to Mike, who’s shacked up with a fortune teller in Southend. A master in the art of disappearance, Mike walks Charlie through the paperwork and psychology of building a new identity. Enter Sophie, a London pathologist who, like Charlie, is searching for something. Down the rabbit hole we go, following Charlie’s nightmarish journey to edge of existence, whilst examining exactly what it is that makes us ‘who we are’.
