Heart Opener Back-Bending Yoga Workshop
This workshop is designed to open the upper back, chest and heart space. We will explore the balance between the effort and surrender in back-bending, gain length in the front side of the body, upper-back and hips in order to free the spine, strengthen the legs and core and create stability within poses.
On a more subtle level, in this special workshop, you will be introduced to the Heart chakra, the vibrational centre through which we develop compassion and self-love. We will focus on letting go of the armour we put on every day to face the world, working towards allowing ourselves to feel honest about who we are and our vulnerabilities and, above all, responding to all this with loving kindness and compassion.
We will focus on asana (yoga poses), and finish with a guided meditation to invoke loving kindness and allow you to explore opening your heart. Yoga postures will be taught at a beginner level but will include advanced modifications for seasoned Yogi’s.
We will end the workshop with a friendly natter over tea and vegan treats.
