Set in the 1960s, Darling is the story of Diana Scott (Julie Christie), an ambitious model determined to make it to the top of the Swinging London fashion scene, toying with the affections of two older men, played by Dirk Bogarde and Laurence Harvey. The film was shot on location in London, Paris and Rome and at Shepperton Studios. The film is re-released in stunning 4k restoration to mark its 60th anniversary!

Darling premiered at the 4th Moscow International Film Festival in July 1965, and was released in cinemas in the United Kingdom in September. It became a critical and commercial success, receiving five nominations at the 38th Academy Awards, including Best Picture, and won in three categories: Best Actress (for Christie), Best Original Screenplay and Best Costume Design. It also won four BAFTA Awards including Best British Actor (Bogarde), Best British Actress (Christie) and Best British Screenplay.
