National Trails Day Hike at Mountain Creek Park

Join our ranger for a group hike at Mountain Creek Park and be a part of the Carolina Thread Trail's celebration of trails and the outdoors on National Trails Day!

About the hike: This 4.5-mile route follows a paved ADA-accessible trail that winds through a quiet cove to a pier looking out onto Lake Norman, then meanders on natural-surface trails along the edge of the lake and through a loblolly forest for a leisurely stroll through the woods.

Meet at the park office for a prompt start at 9am. Please bring adequate hydration and dress appropriately for the activity and weather conditions. The event is free and open to all (children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult; well-behaved dogs are always welcome on a leash).
