JOIN SYC: SHEPHERD YOUTH CHORUS

Community Music at Shepherd invites you to join Shepherd Youth Chorus (SYC), a completely free and non-auditioned musical experience for all children in the surrounding region (WV-MD-VA) between the ages of 8 and 16. The youth chorus director is Dr. Austin Showen, Assistant Professor and Director for Music Education at Shepherd University School of Music. Sing, move, play, and create with us as we explore popular, folk, and choral music from around the world and close to home! We welcome children of all abilities, backgrounds, and experience levels to join at any time!

The fall semester rehearsals will be on Wednesday evenings starting August 27 – December 3, 2025 with a final concert on December 9 at 7:30 p.m.

2nd-4th Grade will rehearse 6:00 p.m.- 6:40 p.m.

5th-10th Grade will rehearse 6:45 p.m.- 7:45 p.m.
