Young Makers: Jewelry Metalsmithing Summer Camp (Ages 13-17)

Give your teen the chance to get hands-on with jewelry making in a fun, safe, creative environment! Students will learn foundational skills in metalsmithing through guided instruction and independent practice.

Techniques covered include:

• Sawing – Shape metal with precision
• Filing & Forming – Refine and sculpt designs
• Texturing – Create unique surface patterns
• Soldering – Join metal elements securely
• Finishing – Polish and complete each piece

Each student will leave with handmade jewelry and a strong foundation in essential techniques.

Students need to be able to follow safety instructions and work independently. If you're unsure, feel free to reach out—we're happy to help you decide!

Amber Romero is a professional jeweler with over 22 years of experience. She leads the Chimera Arts jewelry studio and has taught both youth and adults in a welcoming, hands-on environment that builds confidence and creativity.

Cancellations must be requested at least 7 days in advance. Eventbrite fees are non-refundable and will be charged to the attendee.
