West Overton Village's DIY History and Fort Allen Antique Farm Equipment Association's Ice Cream Summer Fun Festival both invite you to try historic activities, games, and crafts.
DIY History at West Overton Village
At West Overton Village, enjoy history-inspired, hands on DIY (do-it-yourself) activities and demonstrations. Some activities are scheduled for only one day; full schedule coming soon!

At the Museum, visit a national award-winning, interactive exhibition that explores agriculture and industry through stories of individual workers at West Overton, including farmers, millers, coopers, miners, and more. (Please note the Whiskey Heritage Center in our Museum will be closed and guided tours will not be offered over the weekend as we focus on activities).
West Overton Distilling will also be open for rye whiskey samples, cocktails, and bottle purchases.
Ice Cream Festival at Fort Allen
At Fort Allen:
-Watch blacksmiths at work
-Enjoy a tractor parade
-Check out demonstrations of hit and miss engines, shingle and saw mills, model trains, displays of historic tractors and farm equipment
-Special children's activities
-Work up an appetite from all the activities and enjoy some homemade ice cream!

Admission is free but Fort Allen is requesting a $5 donation per car, which will support their nonprofit mission.
West Overton Hours: 10am-4pm
Fort Allen Hours: 9am-5pm
In collaboration with Fort Allen Antique Farm Equipment Association
West Overton Village and Fort Allen Antique Farm Equipment Association are neighbors. Fort Allen will provide a wagon shuttle but visitors can also walk or drive between the two sites. The club grounds are just over the hill from West Overton Village and located at 911 Porter Ave, Scottdale, PA 15683.
Incorporated in 1966, the Fort Allen Antique Farm Equipment Association restores and preserves antique farm equipment to educate current and future generations about historic farming tools and methods.
