Poesía y Jotería: Spanglish Poetry Night

It’s Pride, y’all! Please join us for our bilingual poetry series, which will include performances from local poets, as well as a mercadito, resource fair, open mic and drag show. We will celebrate our queerness by honoring those who have resisted and defied oppression and the heteronormative standards of society. Whether we’re praising Marsha P. Johnson, Sylvia Rivera, Juan Gabriel, Gloria Anzaldúa, Ursula the Sea Witch, Alok Vaid-Menon, or our tía & her "roommate" of 20 years, it’s going to be a lively, gay time. Bring the humor, bring the depth, bring the joy— if it’s queer, it’s all welcome!

¡Es el Mes del Orgullo, jotxs! Acompáñennos en nuestra serie de poesía bilingüe, que contará con presentaciones de poetas locales, además de un mercadito, feria de recursos, micrófono abierto y show de drag. Celebraremos nuestra jotería honrando a quienes han resistido y desafiado la opresión y las normas heteronormativas de la sociedad. Ya sea que estemos celebrando a Marsha P.
